Hey Neal

You're right, just checked the official website of clearcontext. Looks interesting although I am not willing at the moment to take a closer look ;). What about lookeen? Have you tried it?

Thanks Oliver!! I'll take a look at lookeen.

I'm not sure what you mean though re:clearcontext. For me, it is just on Add-on to outlook and operates in a toolbar within outlook.

Thanks for the tip on lookeen!

Hey

@Ben: I agree with you although I do not think as negative as you do. I've decided that xobni is simply inappropriate for my work ;).
@Neal: A colleague of mine uses ClearContext. He might be okay with it, I am not, because it is really annoying to run a second application and to switch between ClearContext and Outlook.

My choice: Definitely lookeen (<a href="http://www.lookeen.net" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">www.lookeen.net</a>). The search tool, fast and reliable. I could not imagine working without it. Maybe you two want to give it a try.

Ben, thanks for the comment. I don't see it as negative at all.

I myself have mixed feelings about xobni. I have installed it and uninstalled it multiple times.

What it is really good at is helping you see really quickly how/when you have communicated with an individual. A lot of my job is to stay in touch with people.

I find ClearContext for Outlook to do the job better.

Thanks for the thought provoking comment!!

what is xobni? an instant messenger? a facebook manger? i don´t know. I´m only wondering for what all these "features" are needed? I thought you want to search you e-mails?! and i get the opinion that xobni does a lot, but also search in your outlook?

Using xobni for work will mean a lot of trouble. do you think my boss likes me to chat with my contacs or something? my boss wants to see me work. and at work i want to search a mail fast and find it fast. nothing more. this is a question of efficiecy. time is money (..)

I´m sorry for this negative comment but this is my opinion.
