Visuwords™ uses Princeton University’s WordNet, an open source database. You can enter a word and the application builds a node tree showing word relationships. When you mouse over nodes, definitions appear. Clicking on nodes expands connections around the clicked term.
The interface is great. The resource is free. The source is available for download at the site.
The tool provides a visual representation of the English language.
