A little while ago, I found some new Wikipedia visualizations from the guys that brought you Visualizing Wikipedia – The Power Struggle.
Found at A Beautiful WWW, their new visualization attempts to highlight activity in regions of Wikipedia that are predominately math or science or technology.
We developed a program to classify Wikipedia articles as being one of these three categories (or none)… What’s striking is the science-related band (green-blue) that runs diagonal through the middle of the topic map.
To add more functionality to the visualization, there’s a Google Maps style zoomable version available.
