Here is some big news. A trillion is a BIG number. Significantly larger than smaller numbers.

One trillion can fund the militaries of all NATO countries . . .
One trillion can pay for all of the military intervention and war since 9/11
One trillion can pay for the inflated cost of the New Deal two times and the cost of the Marshall Plan ten times.
One trillion dollars can pay the rent for every renter in the US for 3 years or the mortgages of every homeowner for 14 months
One trilliion can repurchase all the homes that foreclosed in 2007 and 2008
One trillion can pay for an additional 11 weeks of vacation for every American worker
One trillion can run the Federal Government for over 3 months
One trillion is enough to pay for one tenth of the current bailout
I have to admit that as good as these contexts are, I still have trouble picturing the size of such a large number.
