Real-Time Alert Map of Worldwide Emergencies

The Havaria Information Services – Alert Map uses data from the National Association of Radio-Distress Signalling and Infocommunications Emergency and Disaster Information Services (EDIS) to populate a real-time map of worldwide emergencies as they are reported.

Scrolling over the icons provides basic information on the time and severity of the reported emergency.

Below the map is more detailed information on current events broken down into categories.

  • Current Emergencies
  • Short-time events
  • Long-time or rolling events
  • Tsunami Information
  • Earthquake events in the last 12 hours
  • Active tropical storm systems
  • Current active volcanoes

Some events even have associated photos… like Indonesia’s Volcano Soputan’s eruption on 10/7.
