This is a relatively old visualization but a good one.
The National Safety Council presented this spiral-arranged bubble chart depicting the relative odds of various causes of death. The probability of causes are interesting, and I think contrary to what many people would guess.
For example, do most people worry more about a pool in their backyard or a firearm? You are 5 times more likely to drown than be accidentally killed by a firearm.
Do people worry more about getting in an automobile accident or a plane crash? You are over 60 times more likely to be killed in an automobile accident versus an air (or space) accident.
